There is a line where paperwork stops and professional advice begins. We do not pretend that line does not exist, and we do not charge you to walk up to it and stall. When your matter crosses it, we tell you plainly and point you to somebody qualified.
Knowing what we are not.
We prepare forms, lodge them, and follow them through. That is a real service and it is the whole of what we do. It is not legal advice, it is not accounting, and it is not a substitute for a professional who carries a licence and an insurance policy.
Plenty of people in this trade will take your money for work they cannot finish, then blame the agency. We would rather hand you to the right person and keep your trust than hold a file we cannot move.
We are not a government office and not a law firm. We cannot influence, speed up or guarantee any government decision. Anybody who tells you otherwise — using our name or their own — is either mistaken or about to ask you for money to pay somebody off.
When we hand you on.
Anything needing signing authority
A power of attorney, signing on someone else's behalf, or acting for a person who cannot act for themselves. That is an attorney's work.
Property transfers and title
Transport, transfer of title, or any dispute over land. A conveyancing attorney, every time.
Estates and probate
Especially where relatives disagree or where the deceased left no will.
Anything contested
If another party is disputing it, it is no longer a paperwork problem. It needs representation.
Accounts, audits and tax returns
We register you for a TIN. We do not prepare your accounts or file your returns. That is a chartered accountant's work.
Sworn statements and affidavits
These must be sworn before a Commissioner of Oaths or a Justice of the Peace. We arrange it; we cannot swear it.
What a partner has to satisfy before we name them.
We are not listing people who paid to be here. A referral from us puts our own reputation behind a stranger, so the bar is set where we would want it set if it were our own family knocking on that door.
Currently licensed, and we have seen the licence
Not "was admitted years ago" and not a name somebody passed along. Current standing, verified with the relevant professional body.
Publishes a price, or will quote one before starting
Anybody who will not tell a client what it costs before beginning is doing the exact thing we built this company against.
Will take a client of ordinary means
A firm that only takes large commercial work is no use to a minibus driver. There is no point referring somebody to a door that will not open.
We have dealt with them on a real matter
Not a recommendation from a friend. Our own experience, on a file we watched through to the end.
Reviewed every year, and removable at once
A listing is not permanent. One credible complaint from a client we sent there and the name comes off while we look into it.
Who we refer to.
This list is being built, and it is empty on purpose.
We would rather show you nothing than pad this page with names we have not worked with. Every entry below will be a professional we have personally dealt with on a real client matter, whose licence we have checked ourselves.

What a referral costs you.
Nothing. We do not charge you for a referral, and a partner's fee is a matter between you and them.
You pay that professional directly, on their terms, and you should ask them for their price in writing before they begin — exactly as you would ask us.
If that ever changes — if we were to receive anything from a professional for sending work their way — it will be written on this page, in plain words, before it happens. A referral you cannot see the incentive behind is not a referral, it is an advertisement.

We are interested in attorneys, chartered accountants, Commissioners of Oaths, Justices of the Peace and surveyors working in Georgetown, East Bank, East Coast and West Demerara — particularly those willing to take clients of ordinary means at a stated price.
