The two things that go wrong.
You cannot verify anything
Somebody says the file is "in progress" for four months. From three thousand miles away there is no way to know whether that is true, whether the file was ever lodged, or whether the money reached the agency at all.
Family should not have to do this
Asking a relative to take days off work and sit in queues on your behalf costs them real money and strains the relationship. It is also how documents go missing.
The running, done on the ground.
Civil records
Birth, marriage and death certificates from the General Register Office. The most common request we get from overseas.
Police Certificate of Character
Often needed for immigration, employment or licensing abroad.
Business and tax registration
Registering a business name or company in Guyana, a TIN, and NIS — for people building something at home while working abroad.
Status on a stalled file
Something already lodged that has gone quiet. We attend in person and tell you exactly what the desk says.
Document collection
Certificates and papers collected, scanned to you the same day, and couriered or held for your next visit.

We tell you the road and the price first
Which offices, in what order, the government's fee, our fee, and an honest time range — before you send any money.
We attend and we write to you
After every visit you get a short written report with the date, the office, who we spoke to, and what they said. Including when the answer was unhelpful.
Scans first, originals after
You get a scan the day a document is issued. Originals are couriered, or held securely for your next trip home.
How payment works across borders.
Our fees are the same as on the home page. Government fees are separate and passed on at cost — we send you the receipt, and we never mark them up.
We agree the full amount in writing before we begin, and we do not ask for open-ended sums. If a government fee turns out to be different from what we quoted, you get the difference back or a request for the shortfall, with the receipt either way.
The things we will tell you we cannot do.
We are not a law firm and not a government office. Anything requiring signing authority on your behalf, a power of attorney, a contested estate, a property transfer, or representation in court needs an attorney — and we will say so plainly rather than take your money and stall. We cannot influence, speed up or guarantee any government decision, and anybody who tells you they can is either lying or about to ask you to pay somebody off.
What we do promise: the running gets done properly, you are told the truth about where your file stands, and every fee is evidenced by a receipt.

What you need
In plain words — "my mother's birth certificate", "a police clearance", "check on a business registration I filed last year".
Full names and dates
As they appear on official records, with dates of birth where you know them. Spelling variations are worth mentioning.
Where it stands
Whether anything has already been lodged, when, and by whom.
Your deadline
If an immigration or employment date depends on this, say so up front. It changes what we advise.
